Safeguarding

Our Child Protection Co-ordinators are:

  • Mrs Jacqueline Sainsbury – Headteacher
  • Mrs Lucy Baxter – Deputy Headteacher
  • Mr Michael Bradley – Deputy Headteacher
  • Mrs Eileen Stringer - Family Worker

Our designated Child Protection Governor is Mrs Linda Skinner

There are four categories of abuse

  • Physical abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Neglect

All concerns about a child’s welfare are passed to one of our designated Child Protection Coordinators.

The school has a Safeguarding Children Policy, supported by clear procedures.  This is available on the school website under policies and also from the School Office.

How we ensure all staff have Safeguarding and Child Protection Training

  • Each member of staff complete an online Safeguarding module every 3 years
  • Each member of staff attend an annual Safeguarding update training session
  • New Staff complete the online Safeguarding module and then have a 1:1 session with Safeguarding DP as part of their induction
  • Safeguarding DP’s are updated every 2 years

Any incidents of safeguarding policy that is missed with staff, then staff attend a refresher session by CP lead.
